Walt Kehr

President and CEO

I established Kehr Construction Custom Builders in June 1984. From that time until approximately 1990 I worked primarily as a framing contractor throughout Marin County but also worked with large development companies doing foundation through finish.

In approximately 1990 I evolved Kehr Construction into a turnkey custom home building company. Since that time, the company has completed many new custom homes, remodels, and home additions. Also, in that time, we have done a few spec houses as well as a few local hotel projects.

In the beginning of 2017, we restructured our team and we brought in my daughter, Erika as my partner and office manager. I also added my brother, Will and nephew, Ben to the team who bring a wealth of experience in the construction business to the company.

In 2023, we restructured our team again. My brother retired and my daughter moved on to other business ventures. However, still keeping it in the family, I elevated my son-in-law Scott to take over as Office Manager with Ben continuing his role as Project Superintendent

We focus primarily on high end custom homes, remodels, as well as framing and foundations. We strive ourselves on being a family owned and operated business.

I started working for my dad, Will, who had his own successful company, in high school and have been in construction for the past 20 years. I’ve been a foreman/superintendent for the past eight years. I enjoy the customization and craftsmanship of building the most.

I like that we’re all family at Kehr Construction working together. We all trust each other, keep everyone’s best interest in mind and we’re working towards a common goal to maintain a successful business.

Scott Silveri

Office Manager

I began my career in sports media and worked for several different outlets including the Marin Independent Journal, FOX Sports, NFL Network and NBC Sports Bay Area. Becoming a father in 2019 and the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 changed my perspective on things. During the pandemic, I came to work for my father-in-law Walt in the office for his construction company.

As time went on, I found being able to work locally and a flexible schedule was a perfect solution for me and my young family. I made myself a valuable asset to Kehr Construction and have since taken over all of the office management duties to help run the company moving forward.

It’s important to me that we are family owned and operated. I want to make sure we continue the legacy of success for our small business. Walt, Ben and I all work together as a team and we always strive for excellence in our work.
